San Francisco – Like a Local

Tips to Avoid the Tourist Track

About

Hmmm… I already wrote about myself on my Intro post! Oops. Well, first of all, I want to mention that I would like to join the travel community. I don’t just like to write about travel – I love to read about travel, too! So if I liked or followed your blog, that means I probably found one or more of your posts interesting. Or funny. Or both!

Well, I want you, gentle reader, to read this blog, think it’s funny, and use it to take your trip to San Francisco to the next level. Since most websites about San Francisco give you a generic, watered-down list of the typical touristy things to do in San Francisco, I want to give people an alternative way to discover this beautiful city. I want this blog to show the city’s quirky side, from a local’s perspective.

Many times when I am researching a trip to a new place, this is exactly what I want and what I have trouble finding – tips about things to do, from a local’s perspective. The websites I find are all either generic touristy websites, or blogs from travelers who went to that place. I love reading blogs from travelers, but they don’t always have the insider tips that I crave, the ones that only someone who lives in a city, and who knows that city deeply, can provide.

San Francisco is such an open, friendly, welcoming, quirky city – it’s the perfect place to get out of your shell and discover your inner freak, who I suspect is just waiting to be let out! Have fun here!
